englishstar ESL Tutoring, Teaching & Consulting  is located in Athens, Georgia and specializes in English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for people from non-English speaking backgrounds.  Language assistance is provided to international students, visiting scholars, family members of international visitors, business employees, travelers, or anyone wishing to improve their English.

Our tutors are trained and experienced ESL professionals that provide quality, interesting, and friendly tutoring sessions or classes.

englishstar tutors are flexible and are available to teach mornings, afternoons or evenings. 


Tutoring sessions take place in the location most comfortable for the student - the student's home or office, a public location (such as a coffee shop, bookstore, or library) or at the tutor's home.  Tutoring takes place in Athens, Georgia or surrounding areas.


It is recommended that tutoring sessions last 2 hours each.  One hour is often not enough time to complete a lesson.  Intensive programs, such as two hour sessions three times a week, are also recommended for those students who want to improve their English more rapidly.

Tracey Summers

Thank you for considering englishstar ESL Tutoring, Teaching & Consulting . My name is Tracey Summers and I am an experienced, native-English speaking ESL teacher and tutor.  I have a BA in French from the University of Georgia and an MA in Teaching English from Portland State University.  I was born in England and have lived all over the world!  Teaching English is a passion for me and I truly love guiding ESL students step-by-step towards their language goals.  I look forward to helping you learn or improve your English soon!

EXPERIENCE

•    Personal ESL Tutor: I have tutored ESL students for many years from various places such as Korea, Japan, Czech Republic, Venezuela, Italy & Mexico. Each student was provided with interesting, quality lessons designed to match their English goals.

•    ESL Teacher: I taught ESL at Portland State University and ELS Language Centers in Portland, OR

•    International Student Advisor: At this position, I advised international university students on their immigration status and about their lives here in the U.S.  I understand the experiences of international students in the US and how learning English can be exiting and challenging!
